(Seniors ages 65+)

GoldRide is a shared-ride, public transportation service, for persons 65 years of age and older who have obtained a GoldRide ID Card issued by TheRide. With a GoldRide ID Card, an individual can use shared-ride demand response service and ride fixed route line buses free. Shared-ride trips are provided in accessible and sedan type vehicles. Shared-ride trips can be taken by calling the same day (for trips entirely within the Ann Arbor City limits) or with an advance reservation.

To apply for GoldRide submit your completed application in person, along with the required photo identification, to AAATA's main office located at 2700 S. Industrial Hwy. Ann Arbor, MI. TheRide operates weekly bus trips for for residents of several Ann Arbor senior housing communities to local grocery stores each Tuesday. The fare is $1.50 round trip. In order to participate, a senior community must sign up a minimum of five individuals weekly and contact TheRide by noon on Monday. To reserve a Tuesday trip or learn about current pickup locations, please call 734.973.6500.

Fare Deal (Senior ages 60-64)

Fare Deal (Senior) allows persons who are ages 60-64 that have been issued a Fare Deal (Senior) ID Card to ride for a reduced fare on TheRide's fixed-route buses.
