2026 MPPOA Reverse Trade Fair

Join TheRide at a Reverse Trade Fair! The Michigan Public Purchasing Officers Association (MPPOA) is hosting a Reverse Trade Fair on April 30, 2026. A Reverse Trade Fair is an event that allows suppliers, contractors, and consultants the opportunity to meet with procurement professionals from around the state. Procurement professionals from publicly funded agencies staff the tables, and vendors roam the floor to meet with entities. It's a win-win event for everyone involved!

For Vendors

The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (AAATA/TheRide) practices fair and open competitive bidding procedures to procure goods and services. We optimize the investment of taxpayer dollars by selecting vendors that give us the best value – price and other factors considered.

Process for Obtaining Bids:

TheRide uses OpenGov and BidNet to post solicitations. These are web-based electronic bidding and vendor management systems. Below are the bids and proposals currently being solicited. Interested parties can view and bid on solicitations by doing the following:

  • Register at both OpenGov and BidNet. Registering for an account is free.
  • Follow updates to existing solicitations by finding the solicitation and using the "Follow" feature. Following a solicitation will allow interested parties to receive amendments and addenda automatically.
  • Vendors can view, download, and respond electronically to solicitations.

To get started, visit OpenGov and BidNet to sign up.

Purchase Order Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions of our procurements can vary depending upon the nature and dollar amount of the goods or services being purchased and the applicability of various federal, state and local legal requirements.

Auctions

TheRide occasionally holds online auctions to sell used vehicles, equipment, tools, parts and other surplus items as they become available throughout the year.

The general public is welcome to bid on our online auctions. TheRide uses GovDeals, an online auction site for government agencies to sell surplus items to the public, as well as Greater Detroit Auto Auction. You must have an account to bid at both; however, an account is not needed to see what's available. To set up your account or to set up automatic bidding:

Check back frequently to view items available for sale. All auction items are sold as-is with no warranties.
