ANN ARBOR, MI -- The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) will not operate fixed-route bus service, FlexRide, or A-Ride services on Thursday, November 26, 2026, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Service will resume on Friday, November 27, with all routes operating on a Saturday schedule, with some revisions. TheRide’s Temporary Sales Location at 314 E. Washington St., Ypsilanti Transit Center, and TheRide’s Main Office will be closed on Thursday, November 26, but will re-open on Friday, November 27. As a reminder, the Blake Transit Center is temporarily closed due to construction on Fourth Avenue and downtown Ann Arbor boarding locations have moved to Fifth Ave. and Washington St.
On Friday, November 27, TheRide will operate on a Saturday schedule for all routes, with the exception of the following:
- Route 4: Earlier start time Schedules
- Route 61: Reduced Weekday Schedules
- Route 62: Reduced Weekday Schedules
- Route 65: Reduced Weekday Schedules
The following routes will not operate on Friday, November 27, due to not operating a Saturday schedule:
- Route 33
- Route 34
- Route 63
- Route 64
- Route 68
- Route 104
Regular service will resume on the above routes on Saturday, November 28.
Passengers may take advantage of FlexRide Holiday Service, which is a shared-ride service on designated holidays for just $5 per person. Seniors with an AAATA GoldRide card and persons with disabilities with an A-Ride identification card may ride for $2.50. Individuals with a valid go!pass may ride for $3. FlexRide Holiday trips are limited to designated areas within the cities of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti.
FlexRide Holiday Service hours on Thanksgiving Day:
- 6:00 a.m. – 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, November 26
FlexRide Late Night Service hours due to Thanksgiving holiday are as follows:
- 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25 to 6:00 a.m. on Friday, November 27
Reservations for both Late Night and Holiday Service can be made through the FlexRide App or by calling 734-528-5432.

Reservations stop at 5:15 a.m.
(5:00 a.m. for trips outside of Ann Arbor)
Saturday – Sunday:
Reservations stop at 6:15 a.m.
(6:00 a.m. for trips outside of Ann Arbor)
