FlexRide provides curb-to-curb service during late-night hours and on major holidays when regular fixed-route service is not available. Service is provided in accessible vehicles. Reserve your ride by calling 734-528-5432 or downloading the MODE Car app.
Where You Can Ride
FlexRide provides night and holiday service within the City of Ann Arbor and downtown Ypsilanti between Clark Road/East Huron River Drive on the north and Ellsworth Road/Michigan Avenue on the south. Make sure your travel plans are within the boundaries of our service area.
When You Can Ride
Service HoursÂ
Monday – Friday, 9:15 p.m. - 5:30 a.m.Â
Saturday, 8:15Â p.m. - 6:30 a.m.Â
Sunday, 8:15Â p.m. - 6:30 a.m.Â
Reservations stop after 5:15 a.m. Monday – Friday (5:00 a.m. for trips outside of Ann Arbor) and 6:15 a.m. on Saturday/Sunday (6:00 a.m. outside of Ann Arbor).
Night service ends at 5:30 a.m. Monday - Friday and 6:30 a.m. Saturday/Sunday; trips need to be completed by 5:30 a.m. Monday - Friday and by 6:30 a.m. Saturday/Sunday.
Holiday Schedule
This service is available on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Easter Sunday
- Memorial Day
- Fourth of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
Fixed-route services end at 7:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.  Last trips inbound to the Ypsilanti Transit Center and outbound from the Blake Transit Center are at 6:45 p.m.
What it Costs to Ride
Fares can be paid with cash or by using the MODE Car app.

How to Ride
Make reservations in advance by calling 734-528-5432 or download the MODE Car app. Exact fare required.
We'll need the following information from you:
- Name
- Phone number
- Earliest pick-up time
- Latest pick-up time
- Pick-up location (please specify, i.e. Garden Center Meijer)
- Drop-off location
- Number of ridersÂ
- If you are using a car seat or wheelchair
Trips will only be provided if space is available on scheduled trips. If you are traveling at night, please stay indoors or near a well-lit area where you can safely wait for your ride to arrive.
Cancelations
If you no longer need a ride, please cancel your trip reservation by calling 734-528-5432.
